INITIAL CONSULT
To understand your project needs and requirements, Courtney will set up an initial meeting with you the client. This meeting is free and allows us both to meet in person and discuss your needs. In the initial consult we will go over your:
- Project requirements
- Site and any overlays / considerations
- Design brief
Once the initial meeting has been completed, we will send through a project brief and quote for your consideration. If you chose to proceed with CVA, we will continue the design journey as per the below stages
CONCEPT
The concept phase is where your design ideas come to life. In a restrained set of plans we will work together to develop your design. This phase will typically involve two main stages.
- Concept revision 1 – this architectural plan set will centre on the floor plan design only. This allows us to focus on how you will live in the space.
- Concept revision 2 – once the floor plans have been approved, we will move to the façade design. This architectural plan set will include elevations and 3D perspectives of your project.
WORKING DRAWINGS
Once the concept has been approved, we will begin the working drawings. This plan set will show the project in much greater detail. These plans will be used for getting a detailed quote from your builder, order all relevant engineering and reports, and for you to begin your interior design selections.
CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS
This is the final architectural plan set. The plans will show a higher level of construction detailing and any engineering or interior design updates. These plans will be used to gain building approval and onsite construction.

CVA design has worked wonders for us! We used CVA on our first full home renovation and have now engaged her for another on our latest purchase. She is extremely professional and creative. We were able to sell our home for a high profit thanks to her considered design. We recommend CVA design to anyone looking for a renovation or new build!

So thrilled with my plans. Thank you Courtney for all the wonderful work you did, in a very short period of time, creating my dream home, just love it. Your attention to detail, design ability and construction knowledge was very evident and one of the main reasons I entrusted you with this project.

Courtney is extremely knowledgeable, creative and professional. Her client focus is evident in her prompt and positive delivery. She was our last point of call what has been a long and arduous journey getting deliverable plans. We only wish we had found her 12 months ago.
FAYE AND MICHAEL G.
THE GAP NEW BUILD CLIENT
Having previously worked with Courtney on numerous residential projects varying from prelim to detailed design, I would highly recommend CVA Design for any building design needs. Courtney's communication skills were excellent which ultimately allowed our projects to run smoothly with minimal design and construction issues. Her experience and communication skills definitely set her apart from other designers I have worked with in the past.
ADRIAN W.
ENGINEERING CONSULTANT
We had what we thought was a great start design for our 1930’s Queenslander renovation (turning our breezeway off the master bedroom and third bedroom, into an en-suite and walk in robe but Courtney’s experience, concept suggestions, and clever use of space and orientation was a game changer in the overall design that we just would have never thought of. Happy to work through design revisions, Courtney was patient, accommodating, and took the time to fully comprehend the finished product we desired and just made it so much better than we expected. So much so that once complete, Caroma showcased our bathroom on their instagram page. Intelligent use of space and function through architectural design and experience. Courtney was a gem to work with and delivered a design that was above our expectations. We would just not have gotten the ‘next level’ of finished design without Courtney. Design aside, her plans delivered to our builder meant a fluid build was achieved with little to no variations. Definitely would encourage engagement of CVA Design!
